Nationalities and Scope of the Bans

The individuals represent a broad range of nationalities, spanning the United States, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, Zimbabwe, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria and Jordan.

Türkiye accounts for the largest share, with six of its nationals appearing on the list.

Every ban carries a two-year duration calculated from its respective start date. The earliest bans took effect in November 2024, while the most recent were issued in August 2026.

Denmark Names Groups Exempt From Permanent Residency Rule

TUKO.co.ke recently reported that Denmark identified seven groups of foreigners who can apply for citizenship without first holding a permanent residence permit.

The exemptions include Nordic citizens, former Danish citizens, people of Danish descent and children applying independently of their parents.

Some applicants living outside Denmark may also qualify under specific circumstances.

The exemptions could be relevant to Kenyans and other Africans with Danish family, citizenship or other qualifying connections.
