Nairobi - The Kenya Meteorological Department on Monday, August 17, 2026, released its detailed weekly rainfall forecast covering the period from August 18 to 24, outlining expected weather conditions across different parts of the country throughout the day.
Coastal and Northern Counties
Residents along the coast should prepare for morning showers, with Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi, Tana River's coastal areas, and Lamu all listed under this category.
Inland northern counties including Marsabit, Garissa, and Wajir are expected to receive morning rains, alongside several western and central counties such as Kisumu, Kisii, Nyamira, Homa Bay, Busia, Bomet, Migori, Kakamega, Nairobi, Kirinyaga, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi, and Nyandarua.
