- KUCCPS announced on Wednesday, August 12, that applications are open for Ronald Ngala Utalii College programmes for the September 2026 intake
- Prospective students must apply through the KUCCPS Students' Portal before the August 23, 2026 deadline to be considered

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened a fresh application window for programmes at Ronald Ngala Utalii College in Kilifi County, targeting students who wish to pursue careers in hospitality and tourism under the September 2026 intake.
KUCCPS made the announcement on Wednesday, 12 August, directing all prospective applicants to submit their applications through the KUCCPS Students' Portal at students.kuccps.ac.ke before 23 August 2026.
"Ready to pursue a career in hospitality and tourism? Applications for Ronald Ngala Utalii College programmes for the September 2026 intake are now open," KUCCPS stated. "Apply via the KUCCPS portal students.kuccps.ac.ke before August 23, 2026."
Available Programmes and Application Process
The available diploma programmes span Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Front Office Operations, Food and Beverage Management, Housekeeping and Laundry Management, Travel and Tourism Management, and Tour Guiding and Administration.
Students who need help navigating the application process can visit KUCCPS offices at ACK Garden House on 1st Ngong Avenue in Nairobi, Kenya Utalii College directly, or any of the 58 Huduma Centres distributed across the country.
Kenya Utalii College and the KUCCPS System
The September 2026 window builds on a significant policy shift that took effect earlier this year. In March 2026, KUCCPS incorporated Kenya Utalii College into its centralised placement system for the first time, opening 13 diploma and certificate programmes to Form Four leavers who sat the 2025 KCSE examination as well as candidates from previous years.
Before joining the KUCCPS framework, the college admitted students directly without going through the national placement system.
Its inclusion made it one of the few institutions outside the Ministry of Education to adopt the KUCCPS model, following a collaboration designed to broaden access to specialised hospitality and tourism training.
Kenya Utalii College, which operates under the Ministry of Tourism, has been running for 47 years and has produced more than 60,000 graduates who have gone on to work in Kenya's hospitality and tourism sector as well as in international markets.
