"As you are aware, I have been here for 60 days and hosted visitors from across the country. I decided to host the people to express my appreciation to you for your cooperation as I hosted visitors.
"I thanked my neighbours for helping me host my visitors, allowing my visitors to use their compounds as parking, keeping the residence clean, helping Rev. Dorcas in preparation of meals, showing visitors the route to Wamunyoro and our young men for providing 24-hour security around the compound," Gachagua stated.
The former Deputy President announced the closure of the Wamunyoro consultative conclave on Monday, August 24. He intimated that he will host two delegations on the final day.
"On Monday, I will host visitors from Mount Kenya North, the people from Isiolo and Mandera, then I will host Gen Zs, before I bring down the tents," he told his neighbours.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his neighbours for their love and loyalty, especially when he faced his impeachment.
Gachagua told them that the visitors he hosted in Wamunyoro had one common message - that he should run for the presidency in 2027. He stated that he had no other option but to respect the will of the people.
Earlier, Gachagua wrote to Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja to express concerns over alleged threats against his planned visit to Emurua Dikirr in Narok County.
He claimed that the decision to visit the constituency has been met with threats from the sitting MP, David Keter, and other individuals.
The ex-DP said the threats have been captured on video and circulated on social media and reported by mainstream media.
