"Wazazi wako ready": Cillah unbothered by TSC warning, adds new clip for George
This story has significance for readers across Kenya and beyond.
- Teacher Cillah posted a new flirtatious video aimed at George Ruto just hours after the Teachers Service Commission called out her behaviour
- The TSC flagged her conduct as unprofessional following a series of videos she shared after George Ruto liked one of her reels on Instagram
- Fans flooded the comments section with hilarious reactions, with some questioning whether TSC expected teachers to have no personal lives
Viral educator Priscillah Wanjiku Karanja, popularly known as Teacher Cillah, is showing zero signs of slowing down.
Despite a public warning from the Teachers Service Commission over what they termed unprofessional conduct, the Kenyan teacher posted yet another playful video on Instagram on 15 August 2026, with the on-screen caption reading:
"Wazazi wako ready😌🥰😂. (The parents are ready)"
The whole saga kicked off after George Ruto, son of President William Ruto, liked one of Cillah's reels on Instagram.
The teacher did not let the moment pass quietly. She began posting a string of lighthearted, flirtatious videos seemingly directed at the younger Ruto, and the internet could not get enough of it.
The latest clip was filmed in a bedroom, selfie-style, with Cillah reacting and laughing throughout in a tone that was equal parts giddy and theatrical.
The caption, roughly translating to "The parents are ready," only added fuel to the fire, with followers quick to pick up on the joke that she was already introducing herself as a future daughter-in-law.
TSC steps in Teacher Cillah's shots
The laughter online was not shared by Cillah's employer. The Teachers Service Commission weighed in, expressing concern that her behaviour fell short of the conduct expected of a Kenyan teacher.
The body's intervention only seemed to make the story bigger, drawing even more attention to the videos and sparking debate about whether teachers should be held to different standards on social media.
Cillah, for her part, has kept posting without apology.
