New tension?: Barker's ex-wife to give tell-all drama with Kourtney in new book
This story has significance for readers across Kenya and beyond.
- Travis Barker's ex-wife Shanna Moakler sparked fresh speculation after a deleted comment about Kourtney Kardashian's children at a recent premiere
- Moakler, 51, downplayed the social media drama but hinted that there is far more to the story than she has shared publicly
- The former beauty queen confirmed her upcoming memoir, Queen Risen, will finally present her full account of life in Barker's blended family
Travis Barker's ex-wife Shanna Moakler is keeping her powder dry and her biggest revelations for the page.
The former beauty queen, 51, found herself back in the spotlight after a now-deleted TikTok comment she reportedly left following the Los Angeles premiere of Barker's documentary, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear.
Footage from the event showed the Blink-182 drummer posing with his three children, Atiana De La Hoya, 27, Landon Barker, 22, and Alabama Barker, 20.
According to Page Six, notably absent were Kourtney Kardashian's children with Scott Disick, Mason, Penelope and Reign, as well as Rocky, the two-year-old son Kardashian shares with Barker.
"Where are her children?" Moakler reportedly wrote before deleting the comment, setting off a fresh wave of online chatter about the long-standing tensions between the two women.
Moakler plays down the TikTok row
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Moakler was quick to dismiss the furore, saying there was "no major story" behind what she posted, and that posting and deleting content is simply part of how she operates online.
She declined to elaborate further in the interview itself, but offered a telling hint about where her real story will land.
"In due time, I'll be sharing my story in my own words through my book, and I'm looking forward to that," she said, referring to her forthcoming memoir, Queen Risen.
The framing suggests Moakler believes there is plenty the public has not yet heard about her experience navigating co-parenting with Barker and his life with Kardashian, whom he married in 2022.
Years of tension behind the scenes
The friction between Moakler and Kardashian is not new. Moakler shares Landon and Alabama with Barker and also helped raise Atiana, her daughter with boxer Oscar De La Hoya.
During a 2024 podcast appearance, Moakler accused Barker and Kardashian of attempting to "one-up" her as a parent, raising concerns about their approach to co-parenting.
She was also candid about no longer being preoccupied with how the Kardashian family perceived her, saying her children's wellbeing was her sole priority.
Rather than continuing to address each controversy as it emerges, Moakler now appears to be channelling her account into Queen Risen, where she promises to tell the story entirely on her own terms.
Whether the memoir lives up to the anticipation it is already generating remains to be seen.
