Nairobi - Kenya Power has notified customers that a number of areas across the country will experience electricity interruptions on Friday, August 14, owing to scheduled maintenance work.

The state-owned electricity distributor released the notice on the evening of August 13, 2026, alerting residents and businesses in the affected zones to prepare for the temporary loss of power supply.

Planned Maintenance Notice

In its statement, Kenya Power said the outages are part of routine planned maintenance operations and expressed regret over any disruption the exercise may cause to customers.

"The listed areas will be under planned power maintenance tomorrow (14th August 2026). We regret any inconvenience that may be caused during the operations," the company said.

Kenya Power directed customers to access the full list of affected areas through its advance notice platform, instructing them to check under the most recent date to ensure they were viewing the latest schedule.
